The Antique Motorcycle Club of America (AMCA) was founded in 1954 by a group of antique-bike fans in the New England area. The purpose was to preserve, restore, and exhibit motorcylces that are more than 35 years old. In the decades since, the AMCA has grown to become one of the largest organizations of antique motorcycle enthusiasts in the world with over 15,000 members worldwide. More information on the organization, the chapters and AMCA events, please check out  www.antiquemotorcycle.org

The first Fort Sutter Chapter Motorcycle Club was created in 1932 and ran through 1972. In 1982 the Fort Sutter Chapter was started up again as part of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America and was the second West Coast chapter of the AMCA. There were a dozen founding members, all from the Sacramento, California area. The Chapter now includes enthusiasts from many parts of California.
